TWEET FOR BIDEN AND JONES ON OCTOBER 3RD

TO: As many as we can tweet to:

Joe Biden is coming to Birmingham for Doug Jones on Tuesday.

We who are tweeting to you believe Judge Roy Moore is appalling, and we are doing everything we can to get Doug Jones elected United States Senator from Alabama.

We want to spread the word in Alabama about Doug and get you to join in with us.

We are doing phone banking to ask people to attend Joe Biden's visit in Birmingham on Tuesday.

We can't call all the people we would like to.

We are also tweeting to people.

Please help us send thousands of tweets in Alabama making the plea for Joe Biden and Doug Jones to save Alabama from Roy Moore.

Please do this by following Steps One and Two below.

Thank you.

Step One
Click on the below "Tweet here" link  to send a tweet that says,

(After you click on the below "Tweet here" link, you will see a preview of your tweet, and your tweet will not be sent until you click the "Tweet" button in the preview.)

Step Two

1. Right click on person's Twitter name.
2. Choose "open in new tab"
3. Go to the new tab.
4. Click on the "Tweet to" button.
5. Paste the tweet message in the box.

Winning against Moore

Doug Jones is presumably deeply cogitating how to do his campaign to win the Senatorial general election on December 12th.

If you are interested in Doug Jones' plan for victory, a starting point for you is Doug Jones' campaign website, which lays out his platform (which he calls "Priorities"). The link for this is  https://dougjonesforsenate.com/priorities/.

The Doug Jones website may get revised now that his opponent has been determined to be Roy Moore.

Further, the website may not contain all the messaging Doug Jones will put out to Alabama voters during the next two and a half months. If you are interested in the full picture of Doug Jones' plan to win, you will need to be attuned to messaging that the campaign puts out that is not reflected on the campaign website.

You may have your own views about what should be in Doug Jones' platform and what messaging he should do in order to win on December 12th.

If you have your own views, you can communicate them to his campaign for consideration,  you can talk up your ideas with other Doug Jones supporters, and you can find your own ways to make campaign advocacy in support of Doug Jones.

This blog will be used to make advocacy in support of Doug Jones during the next two and a half months.

This has been started previously with the blog entries Tweeting for Doug Jones and Doug Jones' ethics and integrity.

As those two blog entries indicate, Twitter is being put forth as a way for disseminating widely to Alabama voters the advocacy in support of Doug Jones.

You are solicited to join in the tweeting for Doug Jones which is laid out in this blog.

Further, if you have your own ideas about advocacy for Doug Jones, you are invited to draft the messaging you would like to see for a tweeting bank in this blog and submit it by email to rdshattuck@gmail.com. There is a good chance that any submission will be posted on this blog as a separate tweeting bank. The submission may be such that I am willing to put my name on the blog entry. If you submit something and want your name on the advocacy, that will be done. If I decide I am not willing to put my name on your submission, it will be required that you be willing to have your name on the entry.

Doug Jones' ethics and integrity

[Edit 11/16/17 - how should this be updated?]
DRAFT

ALABAMIANS TWEETING FOR DOUG JONES' ETHICS AND INTEGRITY

TO: As many Alabamians as we can tweet to:

We who are tweeting to you believe Luther Strange and Roy Moore lack the ethics and integrity to be United States Senator from Alabama.

We believe Doug Jones has that ethics and integrity, and we want to publicize our case in favor of him.

We don't have any special knowledge about facts supporting or contradicting the public charges about a deal between Bentley and Strange, about Strange being a witness to bribery, or about Moore's improper use of funds of his foundation. We urge Alabama voters to inform themselves as best they can about those charges and reach their own conclusions.

Our case against Strange is that he is a typical hypocritical, lying, dishonest politician. To show this, we cite Strange's palaver about the Swamp, and draining it. Basically, we believe that the Swamp results from the corrupting influence of money in politics, and Strange has manifested that he is a full fledged participant in the same with the PAC money being deployed on his behalf.

Moore presents a less clear case. For present, we assert that Trump has been a hypocritical, lying, dishonest person most of his life, and now he is a reprehensibly hypocritical, lying and dishonest President, much to the detriment of the country. If Moore was the rock of courage and integrity he touts himself to be, he would speak up about Trump. Moore does not speak up, and we condemn Moore for this.

We believe, as to ethics and integrity, Doug Jones is far superior to Strange and Moore.

We want to put this in front of as many Alabamians as we can for their consideration. We think Alabamians will agree that Doug Jones is far superior to Strange and Moore as regards ethics and integrity.

We want to send thousands of tweets to Alabamians to ask them to join with us, and send even more thousands of tweets to other Alabamians.

To join in with us, please follow Steps One and Two below.

Step One

AL (and the country) need the ethics and integrity of #DougJonesforSenate in the U.S. Senate. http://dougjones4senate.blogspot.com/2017/09/doug-jones-ethics-and-integrity.html #ALSen #alpolitics

Tweeting for Doug Jones

[Revised 10/2/17]
TO: As many Alabamians as we can tweet to:

We who are tweeting to you believe Roy Moore is appalling.

We believe, if Roy Moore is elected United States Senator, he would increase the polarization of our country, and further impair our broken Congress from doing its job properly for the American people.

We believe Doug Jones is the opposite, he will contribute to reducing the polarization in Congress, and this will enable Congress to work better for us. (We understand this means compromising, and neither side will get only its way in Congress.)

We are using Twitter to spread the word as much as we can in Alabama to get Doug Jones elected United States Senator.

We want to send thousands of tweets to Alabamians to ask them to join with us, and send even more thousands of tweets to other Alabamians.

To join in with us, please follow Steps One and Two below.

Step One
